Again, you can use any PC that fits the Plex hardware requirements, but mini PCs like the Intel NUC are the gold standard thanks to their small footprint, power efficiency, and low price.

WebNext, search out motherboards that support the RAM you have, the number of SATA ports you need, etc. If you know a CPU manufacturer you want, you can limit it to just that. If you don't, just search AMD and Intel. Try and narrow 4-5 AMD choices, and 4-5 Intel choices, again with choices across the budget plain. Build with a OS over CLI, so Debian, Redhat, Ubuntu accessed over SSH. Prebuild NASes are easy, but are often expensive compared to building.
