The relay that controls the cig. lighter is located behind the steering wheel cover, almost in front of your left knee when you are in the drivers seat. I modified mine so that it would stay on when the key is off. I'll post the pictures when I find them. Find the wire that powers your coil and splice it thru the lighter socket. The problem is that the lighter socket is grounded, hence it would heat the lighter element up or blow a fuse. If you use the lighter element to ground a relay coil there isn't enough current to heat the element.
