I had 295/40 on the rear of mine. However, the widest recommendation on a 9.5" wheel is 285. I now have 10.5" on the rear with 315s. I found that these tires run big which explained the bad rubbing I was getting on the front tires towards the forward side of my plastic fender liners. WebSep 6, 2013 · I have 15x10 with 5" backspace, so I think the 4" you are looking at could be an issue, but, you also are putting a 295 on an 8" rim, so you are going to suck the sidewalls in a bit. You might also have to run that set up at 25-28 psi to get a full footprint from the tire.

Some guys have installed 305 on 20x9 wheels but i wouldn't recommend it. Ok thank you.
